Dear Members,
As you have probably already heard, the government announced yesterday that the Region of Peel will enter Phase 2 tomorrow which means that we can formally begin the process of opening the pool!
With this happy announcement, the board is now able to start implementing our Stage 1 Pool Opening Plan in accordance with the provincial health requirements. Peel Health has also now been notified about our opening.
As stated previously, we are going to open the pool in stages. Stage 1 is to get the pool open and operational so that members can start to use and enjoy the pool. During Stage 1, there will be no programming or swimming lessons and no use of the side yard. Once we are comfortable with Stage 1 and all members are doing their part to keep the pool environment safe, we will then enter Stage 2 where we will work to introduce some programming. There is an overwhelming number of guidelines that need to be implemented in order to run programs and lessons but we are working on creating a plan that is equitable to all members.
June Pool Clean Up
We are currently seeking volunteers to help prepare for the pool opening. This Saturday, June 27, 2020, we will be having two June Pool Clean Up sessions. Come lend a hand at getting our clubhouse and pool deck ready. It's a great way to jump in and get your volunteer hours for the year done before you've even blinked.
Please note that due to government restrictions, the pool cleanup is limited to 10 people. If two people from your family wish to attend then you must register each person. Members are also asked to bring their own PPE to wear.
